STD: Security Tools Distribution

"STD is a Linux-based Security Tool. Actually, it is a collection of hundreds if not thousands of open source security tools. Thanks for this blog. I intend making it a daily read.

But your readers should know, if they don't already, that Knoppix-STD has not been updated since version 0.1, which dates no later than 04/11/2005.

I just calculated the MD5 hash of the version I have archived, whose timestamp has that date, and it matches the hash published on the Knoppix-STD homepage exactly.

I appreciate your comment! I know and that's really wired, because they still trying to set up new backups and mirrors for their download server while not doing any update to their product itself. I will try to contact them and see if they have any intention to update it in the near future.
